Stag’s pact links the bounty of territory to the duty to care for it. Glory, particularly as remembered in Galliard accounts, recognizes the deeds that sustain that trust.

Add one die to Survival, Animal Ken, or Craft involving nature.

Ban

Hart Wardens — Ban

Harm coming to someone receiving your hospitality limits Willpower recovery at the start of the next session to one point, instead of the normal Composure or Resolve-based recovery.

Culture and outlook

A Warden’s care may encompass a caern, cultivated land, wilderness, or a community. Preservation and cultivation can work together: the aim is a living place worth protecting rather than merely an untouched boundary. Hospitality and the obligations of stewardship give their hierarchy meaning.

Their traditions celebrate deeds through stories and gatherings. A tribal origin legend describes a pursuit of Stag that became a pact of guardianship; it expresses their responsibilities without establishing a literal historical record. In the present, many restore small holdings and neglected caerns.
