Effect
Drive a possessing spirit out of a person, place, or object; a living subject must consent or be incapacitated. Purification leaves physical marks and removes an object’s mystical properties, including those of a talisman. Difficulty depends on scale, age of possession, and spiritual power: a recently possessed tree may be 3, an ancient mountain-bound entity 6 or more. On a Brutal failure, the angered spirit retaliates through the original object or another nearby host.
