Rite of Contrition
Complete the required penance and make an offering to the offended party, or honor a representation of the spirit.
Rite
- Participant model
- One Rite master, with eligible assistants.
- Group roll policy
- The Rite master must know this Rite and have at least one Rage. Other participating Garou must also retain their Wolf. Each helper contributes one Rage die, plus one regular die if they know the Rite. Use the Rite master’s traits and include their normal Rage dice. Unless the specific Rite says otherwise, performance occupies a scene, and a failed Rite cannot be led again by that master until the next day.

Effect
Complete the required penance and make an offering to the offended party, or honor a representation of the spirit. The Rite can repair a spiritual grievance or remove chagrin; it does not replace the underlying act of atonement. Failure permits another attempt the next day. A Brutal outcome causes further offense and requires additional Storyteller-determined penance before retrying.
