Daytime rest must take place among a specifically defined charge.
Overview
Define a bounded charge for the character, such as a place, group, organization, or another clearly delimited subject. The vampire must be surrounded by that charge while sleeping during the day. Otherwise, waking inflicts aggravated Willpower damage equal to Bane Severity.
