Generations 10–11

Vampires of generation 10–11 have a Blood Potency range of 1–4. Generation records descent through sires, not the vampire's age.

Rules

The standard ancilla creation option uses the 10th or 11th generation and starts at Blood Potency 2. The permitted Blood Potency range is 1–4, so 2 is a creation value rather than a permanent minimum. Generation alone does not grant an age category's extra experience or Advantages; use the chosen creation guide.

A lower-numbered generation is stronger for the generation-specific Dominate rule: a vampire can spend one Willpower to negate Dominate used by a higher-numbered vampire. Successful diablerie of a lower-generation victim can lower the diablerist's generation under the diablerie procedure; feeding alone does not. Blood Potency normally grows within the generation's limits, roughly one dot per century of activity, and falls roughly one dot per fifty years of torpor.
