Generation 6
Vampires of generation 6 have a Blood Potency range of 3–8. Generation records descent through sires, not the vampire's age.
Rules
Generation 6 belongs to the range commonly associated with elder characters. A recently Embraced descendant can still belong to this generation, so the label does not establish age or experience. Blood Potency is limited to 3–8; it cannot be reduced below 3 by ordinary torpor or raised above 8 by ordinary advancement. These are not the default Corebook player-character generations; the Chronicle must explicitly permit an appropriate creation option.
A lower-numbered generation is stronger for the generation-specific Dominate rule: a vampire can spend one Willpower to negate Dominate used by a higher-numbered vampire. Successful diablerie of a lower-generation victim can lower the diablerist's generation under the diablerie procedure; feeding alone does not. Blood Potency normally grows within the generation's limits, roughly one dot per century of activity, and falls roughly one dot per fifty years of torpor.
