Galliard
A keeper of stories who gives shared deeds meaning.
Role in Garou society
Galliards preserve and interpret Garou memory through performance and storytelling. Their accounts shape reputations and convey what the Litany means in lived experience. An exuberant performer and a quiet chronicler can fulfill the same social role in very different ways.
Within the pack
They inspire companions, communicate the pack’s achievements, and help a community respond to loss. The tension between a compelling story and an accurate account is a useful part of the role, rather than a rule requiring exaggeration.
Rules
The moon phase at the First Change determines a Garou’s auspice. It informs their customary role and provides access to the associated Gifts; it is not a fixed personality or a prohibition on other skills.
