Possession

Control a mortal body while your own body lies unresponsive.

Cost:
  • Two Rouse Checks
Duration:
  • Until you release the host or an interruption ends control
Roll:
  • Resolve + Auspex versus Resolve + Intelligence
Requirement:
See effect
Amalgam:
  • Dominate 3

Effect

Establish eye contact with a mortal; a ghoul must already be Blood Bound to you. Winning transfers control of their body to you. A total failure prevents another attempt against that subject for the rest of the story.
Your own body enters an unaware trance. Aggravated damage to it ends possession. You may use Auspex, Presence, and Dominate through the host, but use your own Skills and do not gain their memories or habits. Impersonating them requires Manipulation + Performance versus Wits + Insight.
Aggravated damage to the host requires Resolve + Auspex at Difficulty 2 plus the damage taken to retain control. The host's death inflicts three Aggravated Willpower damage on you. Remaining in control by day requires the normal stay-awake roll. Possession can warrant Stains.
