Your first visit
Chargen v5 connects character sheets and game tools to Discord servers. Each server with Chronicler is one Chronicle. You can browse published Codex material and public homebrew before signing in; characters and server tools require your Discord account.
- Select Log in with Discord in the navigation. Authorize the same Discord account you use in your game server.
- Open Chronicles. Your servers appear after Chronicler synchronizes your membership. Open a server to see its rules and available tools.
- If you are new to the game, browse that game's Codex and your Chronicle's Rules & allowed content before choosing character options.
- Open Characters and create an independent base character, or select a ready Chronicle to use its creation rules.
- Finish the draft, submit it to a Chronicle, and follow the application until it is accepted. Acceptance creates that server's playable copy.

A base and a Chronicle copy
The base is your reusable starting character. Accepting it into a Chronicle creates a separate sheet linked to that server. Another Chronicle can accept the same base without sharing its XP or tracker changes. Changes to a base do not silently update already accepted copies.
Back to top ↑What to do when a server is missing
- Check that you used the correct Discord account and still belong to the server.
- Check that Chronicler has joined the server and is online.
- A server must finish setup before it appears in the character-creation Chronicle selector. Its owner or authorized staff should use Complete setup.
- If membership or roles just changed, allow the bot to refresh. Staff can use /chronicle-setup to refresh server metadata and open settings.
