Salubri

The vampire’s blood attracts dangerous attention; Discipline use reveals the third eye.

Overview

Auspex, Dominate, and Fortitude combine insight, mental influence, and resilience. The third eye makes using these abilities harder to keep discreet, and nearby hungry vampires can become a threat. Affective Empathy gives another person’s difficulty an immediate mechanical claim on the character’s attention.

Disciplines

Auspex

Perception that reaches beyond ordinary senses.

Dominate

Supernatural interference with another person’s thoughts and actions.

Fortitude

Resistance to harm and coercion beyond ordinary endurance.

Bane

Salubri Bane

The vampire’s blood attracts dangerous attention; Discipline use reveals the third eye.

Another clan’s vampire who slakes at least 1 Hunger from a Salubri must test hunger frenzy at Difficulty 2 + the Salubri’s Bane Severity. For a Banu Haqim drinker, use 3 + Bane Severity. Failure causes continued feeding.

The third eye is always present and can be covered physically. Supernatural concealment must hide the entire vampire to hide the eye. Activating a Discipline makes the eye bleed, with intensity linked to the Discipline’s level. Nearby vampires at Hunger 4 or higher must test hunger frenzy.

Compulsion

Affective Empathy

Focus on a personal problem affecting someone present. Actions that do not help relieve it lose 2 dice. This ends when the burden is eased, a more immediate crisis takes priority, or the scene ends.
