Ahroun

A combatant and leader when the pack faces open conflict.

Role in Garou society

Ahroun place martial action at the heart of their role, but their approach need not be reckless. A patient tactician and an uncompromising shock fighter may both answer the full moon’s call. Their willingness to confront danger can earn trust or provoke concern when it outruns judgment.

Within the pack

They prepare for violence, assess threats, and commit to the fight when the pack needs force. The auspice establishes associated Gift access and a social expectation; it does not compel a single temperament or tactical choice.

Gifts

  • Closing the Gap

Move into melee reach of a visible enemy across up to 3 m (about 9.8 ft) per Glory, and still attack that turn.

  • Halt the Coward's Flight

Howl at a visible target within 50 m (about 164 ft) fleeing you or a packmate.

  • Kiss of Helios

Ignore ordinary fire and comparable heat damage.

  • Light of the Moon

Those looking directly at you must resist or take a two-die penalty to sight-based pools.

  • Luna's Armor

Whenever fire or silver would inflict Aggravated damage, convert up to Honor of that damage to Superficial.

  • Mouth Full of Teeth

Add half Glory, rounded up, to bite damage.

  • Primal Anger

Damage yourself to fuel Rage, then roll Glory and gain one Rage per success.

  • Rapid Shift

Shift without the normal minor-action penalty.

  • Razor Claws

Add half Glory, rounded up, to claw damage.

  • Sense Danger

Add Wisdom to detecting traps, ambushes, and surprise attacks when failure exposes you to immediate danger.

  • Silver Claws

Your claws inflict silver-based Aggravated damage on other Garou.

  • Snarl of Challenge

Challenge enemies who can see and hear you.

  • True Fear

A target within 5 m (about 16 ft) freezes or attempts to escape in terror.

  • Tug the Leash

While frenzied, succeed to choose an eligible attack target instead of following the frenzy’s target choice.

  • Wind Claws

Claw attacks bypass mundane armor or damage reduction up to Wisdom.

Rules

The moon phase at the First Change determines a Garou’s auspice. It informs their customary role and provides access to the associated Gifts; it is not a fixed personality or a prohibition on other skills.
